What is RAMS?

RAMS is the acronym given to the holistic process of collecting and analysing related to a road network to support and inform decision making processes. Such data include, among others, a network inventory, traffic data (expressed as annual average daily traffic), condition data, roughness data as well as structure and surface history. Mpumalanga RAMS makes use of the Deighton Total Infrastructure Management System Software (dTIMS) to provide multiyear optimised maintenance and rehabilitation project lists.
